The list below contains links to the OFFICIAL WEBSITES of a selection of genuine backpacker hostels. Note that this list does not contain expensive bed & breakfast/hotel establishments masquerading as hostels - as found on some hostel booking sites... these are REAL BACKPACKER HOSTELS!!

You will find that it is often better to book with the hostels direct, as they frequently have more availability. This is because the databases of online booking sites are not always, immediately, updated by hostel owners/managers to reflect cancellations etc.. You can also sometimes get a better price by booking direct with the hostel, as online booking services usually charge the hostel a fee for taking your booking. Online booking services also do not usually give you information about discounts for longer stays.
